Privacy Policy

Effective 2 August 2026 · Covers the MyDeepNotes website and the MyDeepNotes iPad app.

Who we are

MyDeepNotes is an independent IB Mathematics practice archive and iPad notebook app, run by a private tutoring practice. We are the data controller for everything described below. You can reach us at yigitmehmetm@gmail.com.

The website

When you request access to the archive, we store the information you type into the form:

We use this only to run the membership: approving accounts, letting you sign in, and keeping the archive closed to people who have not been approved. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone else.

Cookies

The website sets one cookie: a session token that keeps you signed in. It is required for the site to work and it is removed when you sign out. There are no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no third-party trackers on this site.

The iPad app

The MyDeepNotes app does not have accounts and does not ask you to sign in. By default, everything you do stays on your device:

Content leaves your device only in the three situations below.

1. When you share a homework or a live lesson

Starting a shared lesson or assigning a document as homework uploads a copy of that document, and the drawings made on it, to our server (hosted for us by Supabase). This is what makes the shared page work on the other person’s device.

A share link is not password protected. Anyone who has the link can open that document. Treat a share link like the document itself and only send it to the person it is meant for.

2. When your device backs up to iCloud

The app stores a backup copy of your documents in your owniCloud account, using Apple’s CloudKit private database. That copy belongs to your Apple Account. We cannot read it, and it is governed by Apple’s privacy policy, not ours.

3. Homework progress

When a teacher assigns a document as homework, the app records, for each page, whether anything has been written on it — nothing more. The teacher sees a page-by-page completion figure. We do not read, analyse or grade the content of what is written. Documents opened in a shared lesson (rather than assigned as homework) produce no progress record at all.

What we never do

Keeping and deleting your data

Account information is kept for as long as your membership exists. Shared documents are kept on the server so the link keeps working for the people you sent it to.

Email us at yigitmehmetm@gmail.com and we will delete your account, or any shared document and its drawings, and confirm when it is done. If you are in the UK or the EU you also have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected, and to complain to your data protection authority.

Deleting the app removes everything held on that device. To remove the iCloud backup copy, delete the app data from your Apple Account settings.

Younger students

The archive and the app are made for IB Diploma students, who are typically 16 to 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes we hold information about a child under 13, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or why, we will update the effective date at the top and, for material changes, tell members by email.
